  • The Cruise of the Kawa – Wanderings in the South Seas – Walter Traprock – First Edition 1921 – Nicely Signed and Inscribed

The Cruise of the Kawa – Wanderings in the South Seas – Walter Traprock – First Edition 1921 – Nicely Signed and Inscribed

A First Edition 1921 in New York by Putnam’s.

George Chappell wrote under the pseudonym Walter Traprock. This is a hilarious parody of the romanticism of the South Seas. Traprock discovers the Filbert Islands. Ridiculous photographs feature various volunteers including Putnam himself all posing as “en jungle” in a New York studio. Regraded as a work of genius and hailed by Howgego the guru of fanciful adventure writing. This one nicely signed by the author.

Other books by Traprock (Cgappell) include .. How to Explore and What; Crazy With Tahiti; Around Russia on Roller Skates and Curry-Dishes for Moderate Incomes … we like him

Do not use this to find the Filbert Islands
