Octavo, 189 pages, striking dust jacket of Bella with one of her suitors. A good presentable copy.
Jean Giraudoux poet, playwright and author. Liked for his colourful descriptive language often referred to as impressionistic. Here we have two opposites a Nationalist and an Internationalist competing for Bella's favours. This theme of opposites appearing in many of Giraudoux’s works.
A beautifully written story and a super way into the French language.
